Lost And Found

The distillation of 30K negative film strips

In 2007 3 file boxes containing roughly 30,000 negatives are discovered at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, Ca. In the 3 boxes is Surfing’s History from 1972-1993. I traveled for 3+ years finding the people as well as the photographers who lived the era and captured beautiful stories if not TOLD would be LOST.

The people that I have met and the countless hours of stories I have documented has been an experience that I can only define with one word, OHANA. This word means so much and now I truly understand how special it is as I have assembled this special team of people who live the life.

I am grateful for the relationships of each Artist who has contributed while creating VOLUME 1 and allowed me to assemble a true lifestyle. Yes we are talking the 1970’s, but what was captured by these Artists is the lifestyle we all wish we could have lived.

Now, he’s unleashing them to the world with the coffee table book The Lost and Found Collection: Volume 1, an archive of the photography treasure chest he stumbled upon. The Lost & Found Collection: Volume one tells the story of an era that can never be duplicated. A preserved archive marking transitional periods in photography, style, fashion, and surfing, this album represents the distillation of more than 100,000 film negatives, prints, and slides.
